Procrastination
“the silent killer of dreams”
do to assist with unblocking that energy and getting you moving towards combating that thing you keep putting off. The sooner you face it and get it done, the sooner you can move towards the next project that’s waiting to be tackled and needs to be taken care of.
Maybe you are procrastinating based on fear, which is understandable especially if you may have experienced a trauma that is causing a defense or blockage in a certain area. Sometimes we can procrastinate and think the thing or project will go away. However, usually this is not the case. Usually it will stay there and maybe even get worse. Then when we face it, it’s like oh wow I should have done this sooner. The acronym for FEAR is: False Evidence Appearing Real. It’s an illusion that you can either allow to take over you and cause dis-ease within, physically as well as mentally or you can stand up to it and defeat it by staying calm, breathing and knowing that you have the power within to overcome and conquer all obstacles in your way.
One thing I have procrastinated about in the past was writing a book. Actually I was told by Spirit to write several books, one of which would be on the New York Times best sellers list. This was confirmed by dreams given to three separate individuals. When I first received that revelation subconsciously I began to hinder myself, by questioning Spirit asking how could my book get on the best sellers list, who would buy books written by me? See I doubted the power of God. Where was my present moment faith? Especially knowing all God brought me through in this lifetime. Once I was able to realize that I was letting fear have the upper hand. I had to begin to put faith in action and write. That is what we have to do. Step out on faith and trust the God within you.
Affirmation:
I will not allow procrastination or fear to overcome me. I will not allow procrastination or fear to hinder me. I will not allow procrastination or fear to control me. I will not allow procrastination or fear to conquer me. For I am more than a conqueror and can do all things through the Christ within which strengthens me. At this now moment I choose to stop procrastinating for there’s nothing to it but to do it.
