I Eat 33,000 Calories a Day

Description via TLC - Four morbidly obese people struggle with their weight, their addiction to food and rapidly deteriorating health. Two men are bed ridden and require constant care. Two women are dangerously close to becoming housebound.

What is food? Well according to Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, the definition for food is: 1 a: material consisting essentially of protein, carbohydrate, and fat used in the body of an organism to sustain growth, repair, and vital processes and to furnish energy ; also : such food together with supplementary substances (as minerals, vitamins, and condiments).

I was watching a program last night on TLC called I Eat 33,000 Calories a Day. Now I am one who is not my ideal weight and am currently working my way down from 330 lbs to 150 lbs. However, this documentary irked my nerve and made my right eyebrow rise. The participants featured in the documentary each said that they had an addiction to food. That is not true, they do not have an addiction to food, they have an addiction to the chemical reaction that the poison they are eating provides. If they were addicted to food, they would be addicted to carrots, salads, fruit, nuts, seeds, whole grains. Instead they are addicted to grease, carbohydrates, refined sugars and enriched/bleached flour. Which is nothing more or less then POISON.

As one who once topped the scale at 330 lbs. I can relate to being addicted to the poison that some call food. I also knew I had to make a change in order to live and be free from what was causing me to comfort and shield myself with fat. Each person who desires to lose weight and to be healthy, must first see themselves as fat and unhealthy, then they must see the healthy person that is inside of them and desire for that person to manifest. They must also let go of the pain that has caused them to turn to gluttony as a cure. It is no different then a drug addict, there has to be that point of realization. Some may say why don't they just stop. Well if they had the will power they would. They have to endure through a healthy monitored detoxification, and the family members and friends that provide them with their daily poison are enablers and need to be counseled on how to say NO to the ones that they love.

It is time for obesity to be taken seriously, now it is not uncommon for super morbidly obese people to have to be taken out of their homes on forklifts, this is pathetic and ridiculous. Since the majority of the super morbidly obese are bed ridden and home bound. If no one fed them this garbage, how would they eat it? That's one to ponder on.
